Welcome to my online classroom!
This is where you will find everything you need to learn from home! I know everything might seem kind of crazy right now, but I promise it will be okay. I am in this with you and I want to help you in any way I can. You do not need to be stressed out about your work if you get stuck, because I am just a phone call or a text message away! On this website you can find all of my contact information in my profile. The Student Lesson Schedule is where you will find all of your weekly assignments. I will post your new schedule every Monday morning so that you can see your plan for the week. Any websites that you need will be listed under Educational Websites and it will have all of your log in information that you need. The only account that you will need to set up my yourself is EdPuzzle. The My Distance Learning Schedule is where you can find the schedule that I will follow for making sure you guys get all the lessons you need.
Here is some good news! You guys have already learned everything you need to know for 5th grade math. Our last unit that we needed to cover was Financial Literacy and we did that right before spring break. So all of our lessons from here on out are just going to be reviewing what you should have already learned. What we are going to focus most of our time on is fractions. Fractions are VERY important in 6th grade so I want you guys to be as prepared as you can be. I know a lot of you guys struggle with fractions and that’s okay because I’m going to be posting two videos a week that should help you get better at them. Remember our very important word that we have been talking about this semester...YET. I don’t want you guys to be telling yourselves you’re not good at fractions and can’t do them. You might not be good at fractions YET, but you are going to end up being great at them!
I miss seeing yall’s faced everyday and hope that I get to see them soon. Don’t forget, I will be hosting a Zoom meeting every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 o’clock. This would be an awesome way for you to get to ask questions and see some of your friends! All you have to do is go to the Educational Websites tab at the time of the meeting and click on the link under Zoom. I hope to see you then!
